Back pain is a common occurrence during the holidays. Common holiday activities like shopping, cooking, and decorating can put a lot of stress on the back. Low back pain can put a real damper on the cheer of the holiday season. The good news is that there are ways to relieve or minimize the pain.
The holidays mean lots of running around for many people. This can put a lot of stress on the feet and possibly lead to increased back pain. Before making the trip to the mall, grocery store, or neighborhood caroling, make sure that you have the right pair of shoes. Many sacrifice comfort for fashion when choosing shoes, but the body often suffers for days from this. Taking care of your feet this holiday season can decrease foot and back pain.
Regular exercise is a great way to gear the body up for the rigors of the holiday season. If your body isn’t conditioned for this ‘holiday workout’ you are putting your body at risk for injury and back and body pain. No one wants their holiday season ruined by injury or pain!
